Military Engineer Services Recruitment 2012 for 1400 posts

Military Engineer Services, Headquarters Western Command Engineers Branch, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India has announced recruitment notification 2012 for the posts of Mate Electrician, Mate Fitter General Mechanic, Mate Refrigerator Mechanic, Mate Carpenter, Mate Pipe Fitter etc. Vacancies are available for ITI and Matriculation passed candidates. Following are details of vacancies, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Mate Electrician: 655 vacancies. Qualification: Applicants should have passed ITI in Electrician Trade or an equivalent course recognized by National College for Vocational Training (NCVT).

2) Mate Refrigerator Mechanic: 125 posts. Qualification: Candidates should have passed ITI in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade from any recognized institute.

3). Mate Carpenter: 87 vacancies. Qualification: Candidates must have passed ITI in Carpenter Trade or any of its equivalent duly recognized by National College for Vocational Training (NCVT).

4) Mate Fitter General Mechanic: 306 vacancies. Qualification: Applicants must have passed ITI in Pump Operator - cum- Mechanic Trade from any recognized institute or an equivalent from National College for Vocational Training (NCVT).

5) Mate Pipe Fitter: 86 vacancies. Qualification: Candidates should have passed in ITI in Plumber Trade from any recognised institute or an equivalent from the Institute recognized by National College for Vocational Training (NCVT).

6) Mate Mason: 41 posts. Qualification: Applicants must have passed ITI in Mason (Building Constructor) Trade from any recognised institute / university or an equivalent course from the Institute recognized by NCVT.

7) Store Keeper - II (SK-II): 03 posts. Qualification: Candidates should have passed in Matriculation or an equivalent exam.
8) Peon: 26 vacancies. Qualification: Applicants must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent exam.
9) Chowkidar (Khansama): 02 vacancies. Qualification: Candidates should have at least passed in Matriculation and have good physique. Candidates with at least one year experience will be preferred.

10) Civil Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade) (CMD (OG)): 46 vacancies: Applicants should have passed in Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized University or Board. They should possess valid civil driving license for all type of vehicle from State Government.

11). Chowkidar: 36 vacancies: Candidates should have passed in Matriculation or an equivalent examination and should be physically fit.
12) Safaiwala: 08 vacancies. Qualification: Applicants must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent exam.
13) Mate Painter: 12 posts. Qualification: Candidates should have passed ITI examination in Painter (General) Trade from any recognised institute or an equivalent course from NCVT.

Examination Structure and Syllabus: Selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination. Syllabus for written examination will consist of the minimum education standard prescribed for each category post and covers questions from all the topics and also from general topics. There will be only one question paper with a duration of three hours. Interested candidates can apply in the prescribed application format available on the website mes.gov.in and also published along with recruitment advertisement.
