APSRTC Procedure for e-ticket booking

Online Booking (Internet Booking) will enable the passenger to book the seats and cancel the ticket even from remote places where APSRTC counters or franchisees are not available. The procedure and guidelines for Internet booking (called, On-line booking) are detailed as below:

1. Booking can be made by Registered user through the Internet. Registered User will be given username and password after filling an E-form on the Internet by giving his personal details.

2. Payments for tickets booked will have to be made through Credit Card /Debit Card.

3. Passenger booking the ticket will have to login to APSRTC website and proceed through the link provided for Advance Booking. The passenger will select the seats in a service of his choice based on the availability.

4. During the booking process, the passenger will have to select Identity Type and submit ID No. for confirming his identity during the journey. He can select from any of the Photo Identity Cards i.e. Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Ration Card (passenger's).

5. Before confirming the booking, the passenger will have to provide payment details like 'Credit Card / Debit Card' for accepting payment by the Payment Gateway. The booking will be confirmed after the Payment Gateway approves the transaction. At this stage, an OB Reference Number will be generated for that ticket and passenger shall note this number for further communication in future with APSRTC and after successful transaction passenger can print the e-Ticket. 'e-ticket' will be printed on a plain paper (A4 size) for acknowledgement and it will be valid for journey. This e-Ticket MUST be produced at the time of boarding the bus along with ID proof.

6. Alternatively, the passenger will have the option of getting the “e-Ticket” printed at any other place where he has Internet connectivity and printing facility. He can print the “e-Ticket”, by logging on through his User ID from Booked History in My Account tab.

7. After successful transaction this e-Ticket will be sent to passenger’s mail address provided in his profile at the time of Registration. He can get the printout of this e-ticket from his mail.

8. During journey, with "e-Ticket", passenger has to possess the Original Identity Card mentioned in the "e-Ticket".

9. The on-duty Conductor (or Driver-cum-Conductor) will verify the Identity Card of the passenger mentioned in the e-Ticket during the journey. If the passenger fails to produce the specified Identity Proof in original during the journey, the ticket will be treated as INVALID and the passenger will be treated as "Travelling without Ticket". Photocopies of Identity proof are not allowed.

10. Partial cancellations are not allowed in respect of e-tickets.

11. For Registered users, cancellation is allowed online only if they login with the same user ID used for booking the ticket, which is to be cancelled. In respect of cancellations, refunds applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Debit Card account only.

12. Cancellation of e-tickets is only allowed one hour before the schedule departure of the Service.

13. If the service is cancelled by APSRTC (or other STUs) for operational reasons, refund applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Debit Card account only.

14. If a passenger has lost the "e-Ticket", a copy of the same can be printed from "Booked History" module by logging on to APSRTC site, through his User ID and password. No charges will be applicable.

15. Alternatively he can get the printout from his email account, without logging into APSRTC site.

16. All transactions made by the user through on-line booking will be available in "Booked History". This will be for the reference of the passenger and subsequent verification of transactions made on the concerned Credit card / Debit Card account.

17. All transactions on Internet are subject to the conditions stipulated by the Payment Gateway and subject to levy of charges, if any. The APSRTC will levy a service charge of 2.5 % on the fare applicable for each seat in addition to the fare payable.

18. Users are advised to print e-tickets immediately after booking e-ticket to avoid inconvenience.

Mobile number portability in INDIA also

Mobile number portability allows a mobile subscriber to switch operators without changing his/her
telephone number.

Mobile number portability (MNP) requires that mobile telephone customers can keep their telephone number–including the prefix–when switching from one provider of mobile Telecommunications services to another. In the absence of MNP, customers have to give up their number and must adopt a new one when they switch operators. As a result, customers face switching costs associated with informing people about changing their number, printing new business cards, missing valuable calls from people that do not have the new number, etc. Based on these considerations, many regulatory authorities have imposed mandatory
The world’s first country to introduce MNP was Singapore in 1997.

Number Portability will allow subscribers to change their service provider while retaining their old
mobile number. Portability benefits subscribers and increases the level of competition between service
providers, rewarding service providers with the best customer service, network coverage, and service
quality.

It might start from this month ending onwards and already two big cellular companies are giving adds and did not declare the exact date.....

Sri Krishna Committee Report effect - Guidelines to news channels for Dec. 31

(from DC) Keeping in mind the sensitivity involving the Telangana issue, the self-regulatory body of broadcasters in the country - News Broadcasters Association — has asked channels to be “sensitive” while covering the release of the Srikrishna Committee report on December 31. The News Broadcasters Association has issued an advisory to editors of all news organisations affiliated to the body stating that it is necessary to ensure that the telecast of any news relating to it should not be sensational, inflammatory or provocative.
The advisory goes on to state that all news relating to the Srikrishna Committee report should strictly adhere to the contents of the report. “The channels should not broadcast any footage of violence, agitation, self-immolation, if any, and should not show any visuals relating to protests or celebrations in relation to the report,” it added. “The basic guideline to be adhered to is that all news relating to this subject should conform strictly to sub-serving the public interest of maintaining parochial and communal harmony, of eschewing any divisive or fissiparous tendencies and of preserving the secular ethos of our plural society,” the advisory stated.
It also asked broadcasters to preserve all the programmes telecast in relation to the Srikrishna Committee report, including scripts, for examination if necessary. The NBA News Broadcasters Association stated that information disseminated by channels could influence the public opinion. “The telecast of Srikrishna Committee report requires adherence to the code of ethics and the specific guidelines issued from time to time,” it added.(Deccan ,IWWH28-12)

World's youngest yoga teacher is 6 only

At just six, Shruti Pandey is the youngest yoga trainer in the world. The flexible youngster has been teaching adults at an ashram, in Northern India, for the last two years.
Her trainer, Hari Chetan (67), set up the ashram 35 years ago and as soon as little Shruti became one of his students, as a tiny four-year old, he spotted her talents.
Now she begins her classes at 5.30 every morning, at Brahmanand Saraswati Dham, in the Jhunsi town, dressed in white leggings and a red t-shirt surrounded by 30 eager pupils ranging from businessmen, teachers, housewives to pensioners.
Shruti said, "It feels good when people follow my instructions, I feel like a real teacher. I got interested in yoga after watching my brother do it. I tried picking it up myself but it was too difficult. So I asked my parents to send me to yoga classes."

Her brother, Harsh Kumar, now 11-year-old, made the Limca Book of Records at the tender age of five by learning all 84 yoga positions but he's never been interested in being a teacher like his sister.

Hari, who Shruti also calls her grandfather, thinks she's a miracle.

"She's a fast learner and a perfectionist. She grasps techniques quickly unlike kids her own age, who get bored with something as patience consuming as yoga," said Hari.

"Within just six months of her training, she surprised everyone by doing the toughest positions with ease and perfection. She's a natural."

Shruti can manage some of yoga's most challenging positions. She can easily hold her entire body on the strength of her little arms and hang her legs right over her head backwards.

One of Shruti's fans, 90-year-old Swami Bhanu, a retired teacher, said, "She tries to provide an alternative position for the complicated ones that are difficult for an older person like me to do. She's very patient."

Google custom domains problem in internet

Hi friends and and now a small problem has arised to google custom domains and now the bloggers integrated with google custom domains are not loading and many error messages are shown like longer time taken to respond and many errors are shown and my friend has said that bsnl has blocked the google custom domains and first i have agreed to that because in some  websites is loading in mobile using virgin internet and coming coming in other networks and when i connected my mobile internet to the computer and i tried but now its not coming and can any one solve or explain me about this problem .....and comment on this...and help to others...

Faria, 20, hailing from Bangalore, won the title at the talent show with a scintillating belly dance that combines Oriental and Middle Eastern style, the enwswire reports.
Miss Puerto Rico Yeidy Bosquez was announced Miss Earth Fire and Miss Ecuador Jennifer Pazmino won the Miss Earth Air title. Miss Thailand Watsaporn Wattanakoon grabbed the Miss Earth Water crown.
Faria also won the 2010 Miss Earth Talent Competition.

TRAI to impose hefty penalties on unwanted calls from today

New Delhi: In a move that will give major relief to millions of subscribers, telecom regulator TRAI will today announce new guidelines to curb the menace of unsolicited calls by imposing hefty penalties on errant telemarketing firms and operators.

Besides hefty penalties, the telemarketing firms would be alloted a separate series of numbers beginning with '700' that would allow subscribers to recognise their calls and decide whether to accept or reject them.

According to sources, TRAI has proposed to impose a penalty of up to Rs 2 lakh on telemarketing firms against whom complaints have been received six times, before blocking the number, while service providers that violate mobile users' 'do not call' instructions four times face a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh.

It will be the responsibility of both telemarketing firms, as well as service providers, to ensure that subscribers who have opted for not getting such calls are not harassed by telemarketers, as per the new TRAI guidelines.

"We will bring out the regulations on unsolicited calls today (Tuesday)," TRAI sources said.

TRAI had released a consultation paper, titled, "Review of Telecom Unsolicited Commercial Communications Regulations", in May this year.

Unsolicited commercial communications are one of the growing concerns of telecom consumers worldwide.

The government had earlier formed a "National Do Not Call" (NDNC) Registry in 2007. However, consumers continued to complain about unsolicited commercial communications by way of calls, as well as SMSes.

Sources said that as per the revised recommendations, TRAI has proposed a fine of Rs 25,000 for the first offence by a telemarketing company, which would go up to Rs 75,000 in case of a second violation, Rs 80,000 for the third, Rs 1.25 lakh for the fourth, Rs 1.50 lakh for the fifth and Rs 2 lakh for the sixth offence, following which the number will be blocked by all service providers.

All the telemarketing companies will have to submit security deposits with the service providers in advance.

Similarly, the service providers would also be subject to hefty penalties ranging from up to Rs 1 lakh for the first offence to up to Rs 10 lakh for the fourth offence.

* Quick reboot: One solution during the rare occasion when my BlackBerry starts behaving as if it's under the weather (hanging, performing slowly, low on memory, etc), is to remove the battery and SIM card, wait a few seconds and reinsert. But that's not always easy, especially in a moving vehicle or when commuting. At such times, I prefer a software reset, much like a PC reboot. All you need to do is press your BlackBerry's 'Alt', 'Right Shift' and 'Delete' keys together. Not for folks with thick fingers though; they might prefer the harder option of removing the battery. Also, though I mentioned commutes, let me indemnify myself by mentioning that rush hour Bombay local trains are exempt from any such claims.

* 'Help Me!' Screen: Need a dashboard on everything related to your BlackBerry, ranging from memory to radio signal strength, uptime as well as identification information such as MAC ID, IMEI, OS version and more? The 'Help Me!' screen is the answer to your prayers. Simply press your BlackBerry's 'Alt', 'Left Shift' and 'H' keys simultaneously.
* One-key lock: Some newer BlackBerry smartphone have a dedicated lock key on the top, but for older devices (and even newer ones if you want to use it), the one-key option to lock your BlackBerry is to press the 'A' letter key for a couple of seconds.

* One-key vibrate mode: Need to quickly move to vibrate mode in the middle of an important meeting? Simply press the 'Q' key for a few seconds when you are in any alert profile other than 'Vibrate Only.' When you need to switch back, do the same and your BlackBerry reverts to the alert profile you were using earlier.

San Jose Mine, Chile: The rescue operation of pulling out 33 Chile miners trapped underground for 68 days began on Wednesday at San Jose mine. So far three miners have been rescued.
Rescued first early on Wednesday was Florencio Avalos. The second was Mario Sepulveda Espina, who was pulled to the surface about an hour after Avalos.

Boston: With a net worth of USD 62 billion, Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani would be the richest man on earth in 2014, according to a forecast issued by the prestigious Forbes magazine.
