SBI PO RECRUITMENT 2011


RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS IN STATE BANK OF INDIA

DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION : 24.07.2011 (SUNDAY)

SELECTION PROCEDURE :
Phase- I : Written Examination -- Combined Duration 3 Hrs. (Combined Objective
& Descriptive Type Tests) -- [Max marks-250 (combined)]
The duration of objective type test will be 2 hours, Max. marks 200 and will consist of :
i) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
ii) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
iii)Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
iv) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The duration of Descriptive type test will be 1 hour, Max. marks-50 and the test will
be of "Test of English Language (Comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay)"
Descriptive test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who are adequately
high in percentile ranking in each of all the four objective tests and have scored overall
aggregate 40% and above in case of General category and aggregate 35% and above
in case SC/ST/OBC/PWD category. The qualifying marks for descriptive test will also
be overall aggregate 40% for General category and overall aggregate 35% for SC/
ST/OBC/PWD. The merit list of written examination will be based on the aggregate of
the marks obtained by the candidates in Objective and Descriptive tests.
Phase-II : Group Discussion & Interview :
Max Marks - 50. [GD - 20 Interview - 30]
The aggregate marks of objective test and descriptive test will be arranged in descending
order and the candidates who have qualified in both the written examinations will be
called for group discussion and interview depending upon the vacancies in each
category, subject to maximum of 3 times of the vacancies.
Final Selection
The marks of group discussion and interview will be put together and the candidates
who secure minimum 40% marks (minimum 35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in group
discussion and interview will be considered for final selection. The candidate will have
to pass both in Phase I & II separately. Phase I & Phase II marks will be aggregated
and arranged in descending order (category wise) for candidates who have qualified
in both the phases separately and depending on the vacancies, selection will be made
from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase I and thereafter the list of
candidates finally selected will be available on the Bank's website in addition to
publication in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA : (AS ON 01/05/2011)
(A) Essential Academic Qualifications :
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised College / University
(B) Age Limit : As on 01.05.2011
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.05.2011 i.e candidates must
have been born not earlier than 02.05.1981 and not later than 01.05.1990 (both days
inclusive)
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates
Upper age is relaxable by
(i) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of : (a) SC/ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen (including
Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who
have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been
released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due
to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge
on account of misconduct or inefficiency or /on account of physical disability or
have been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service
or on invalidment (c) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir
Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st
December, 1989.
(iii) 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH
(SC/ST) candidates.

EMOLUMENTS:
PAY : Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. They will
draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 16,900/- in the scale of Rs.14500-600/7-18700-700/
2 -20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. They will also
be eligible for D.A., H.R.A. & C.C.A. as per rules in force from time to time. At present,
initial monthly emoluments of Probationary Officers, including D.A., H.R.A. and C.C.A.,
are approximately Rs. 27,800/- at Metropolitan centres.

18.05.2011 and 07.06.2011 in any branch of State Bank of India.

(a) While applying on-line for the posts, the applicant should ensure that he / she fulfils

essential minimum educational qualification / category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) etc. of the
candidates with reference to documents.
(c) Use of Mobile Phones, pagers, calculator or any such devices :
Candidates before entering examination premises are likely to be frisked to ensure
compliance with followings :
(i) Mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed
inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement
of these instructions shall entail cancellation of candidature and disciplinary
action including ban from future examinations.
(ii) Candidates are not permitted to use or have in possession of calculators in
examination premises.
(iii) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned
item including mobile phones/ pagers to the venue of the examination, as
arrangement for safekeeping can not be assured.
(d) The candidates will have to appear for the written tests, at their own cost.
Candidates called for INTERVIEW are entitled to IInd class to & fro railway fare/bus
fare by shortest route on production of evidence of travel (Rail/bus ticket/receipt
etc.).
(e) Candidates uploading more than one application for any reason will be treated as
ineligible.

The Written Test Examination will be tentatively held on 03.07.2011 (Sunday) at Examination Centres given below. The full address of the examination venue will be given in the Call Letter. All eligible candidates will be required to download their call letter from the Bank.s website after 20.06.2011. Candidates should note that the call letters will not be sent through post/courier etc. An eligible candidate who fails to download the call letter may contact the concerned Zonal Office of BANK OF INDIA located at the concerned centre, he/she has opted for at the addresses given below, with a written application indicating his / her Name, Address, and details of payment made for issue of Duplicate Call Letters the following addresses after 26.06.2011
Eligibility:

NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP:
A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) as above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him.
Selection Procedure :
Depending on the number of vacancies (if the Written Test is held), only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Written Tests (Objective) and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a Personal interview in the ratio of 1:3. – Mere pass in the Written Tests shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for Personal Interview.
Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in Written Test [i.e. 300 Marks (Objective Test) and Personal Interview of 100 Marks will be prepared in descending order on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained, under the respective SC / ST / OBC / GEN Category. The final selection will be made on the basis of this merit list.

NHPC Recruitment 2011 for Trainee Engineers/Officers & Others-National Hydro Power Corporation

NHPC Limited, a ‘Mini Ratna’, Schedule–‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise of Govt. of India, with an authorized capital of 15,000 crore and investment base of around 40,471 crore (as on 30th September 2010), is ranked as a premier organization in Hydropower Sector having excellence in Planning, Designing and Executing Hydro Projects. NHPC is having 14 Power Stations with capacity of 5295 MW and 10 Projects under construction with capacity of 4502 MW. NHPC has ambitious plans for massive capacity addition by 12th Five Year Plan.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

NHPC offers one of the best pay packages in the industry. Trainee Engineer(s)/Officer(s), on successful completion of the one year training period will be placed as Engineer/ Officer in the pay scale of 24900-3%-50500 (IDA) (E2A) with probation of one year. Medical Officer, Assistant Hindi Officer, Hindi Translator and Stenographers will be also on probation period of one year in their respective pay scale. Besides basic pay, candidates will also be paid Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) and will also be entitled for other allowances & benefits as per company rules in force from time to time.

PLACEMENT:

Candidates will be placed at Projects / Power Stations/ Offices including Joint Ventures & Subsidiary Companies of NHPC in various parts of the country or abroad.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Candidates, whose registration slips are received on or before the last date of receiving the registration slip through post, will have to appear for written/ skill test except the post of Medical Officer & Trainee Officer (Finance). List of eligible candidates called for interview will be made available at www.nhpcindia.com & will also be e-mailed to such candidates. The final selected candidates will be offered “Offer of Appointment”.

TEST CENTRES:

The written test will be held in 18 cities* as mentioned in the ‘Online’ application system. Candidates have to choose one city as Test Centre and no change in any circumstances will be considered subsequently. However, NHPC reserves the right to cancel or add any Centre depending on the response of the candidates for that area / centre. Admission to the test will be on production of Admit Card which is to be downloaded only from our website by candidates and photograph should be duly attested.

ABOUT WRITTEN TEST:

Candidates will have choice for appearing in the test in Hindi or English. The test duration will be 3 hours and in three parts i.e. Part –I of 140 multiple-choice questions in the concerned discipline, Part –II of 30 multiple-choice questions on General Awareness and Part-III of 30 multiple-choice questions on Reasoning.


SERVICE AGREEMENT BOND:

The selected candidates for the post of Trainee Engineer/ Officer of General and OBC category will be required to execute a service agreement bond of 2.50 lacs and for SC/ST 1.25 lacs to successfully complete a minimum period of four years of service in the NHPC Limited, including the period spent on training.

HOW TO APPLY:

01. Eligible candidates have to apply through online registration system of NHPC only. To apply, visit: www.nhpcindia.com with valid e-mail ID.
02. Candidates belonging to General and OBC category are required to pay a nonrefundable registration fee of 250/- . The SC/ST/PwD category candidates need not
pay the registration fee.
03. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee in a specially opened account No.31713133703 at CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NHPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a Unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. In case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account, NHPC will not be responsible. There will not be any other mode of payment of registration fee.
04. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee.
05. While applying Online, candidate should keep the scanned copy of their passport size colour photograph and signature in JPEG format of not more than 50 KB size.
06. Candidates can visit the online registration site from 1200 hours of 09.05.2011 to midnight of 30.05.2011.

Steps for applying:

Step-1: Log on to www.nhpcindia.com & click on recruitment.
Step-2: Read all instructions given on the website.
Step-3: Fill the Online application form with relevant details and submit.
Step-4:Take out the print of the registration slip generated by the system in duplicate with
Unique Registration Number.
Step-5:The candidate should send duly signed printout of registration slip after affixing the passport size colour photograph, attaching photocopy of all academic testimonials alongwith Caste/PwD/Experience certificate (if applicable) and photocopy of the pay-inslip in an envelope. Candidate can keep a copy of registration slip and pay-in-slip for his/her future reference.
Step-6:The envelope should be superscribed with Advertisement Number, Post applied for and Category (i.e. GEN / OBC / SC/ ST/ PwD), as the case may be, and should be sent by ordinary post (since post box does not accept mail through registered post/courier) to “Post Box No. 364 at Amar Nagar Post Office , Faridabad – 121003 (Haryana)” and should reach on or before 14.06.2011.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:

01. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
02. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned in the advertisement. If a candidate qualifies in written test and is called for interview based on the information given by the candidate and does not fulfill the same he/she will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
03. Candidate is required to obtain requisite marks / grade in minimum qualification prescribed for the post, taking average of all the semesters/years irrespective of the weightage given to any particular semester/ year by Institute/University.
04. All qualifications should be full time regular courses from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE except AMIE. Candidates who expect their final results by 31.08.2011 may also apply provisionally, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent grade, taking average of all the semesters/years irrespective of the weightage given to any particular semester/ year by Institute/University. The cut off date for acquiring prescribed qualification for the post of Trainee Engineer(s) / Officer(s) is 31.08.2011. No representation will be entertained in regard to relaxation in the date prescribed in any circumstances.
05. Internal candidates having requisite qualifications are eligible to apply.
06 .Candidate has to apply Online only. No manual/paper application will be entertained.
07. Candidature of the registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
08 .Candidature is also liable to be rejected if valid registration slip is not received or received un-signed or without pay-in-slip/ testimonials/ certificates or received after the closing date.
09 .The admit card indicating roll number, name of the allocated test centre, date of Written Test and guidelines for the test will be made available on the NHPC website to the candidates found apparently eligible based on the online data and will also be informed to them through e-mail. The candidate has to download his/her Admit card, Test Guidelines etc. for appearing in the test from the website. Admit cards will not be sent by post.
10. Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID active at least for one year. No change in e-mail ID will be allowed once entered. All future correspondence shall be sent via e-mail only.
11. Candidates employed with Government Departments / PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies have to produce NOC at the time of Interview.
12 .In case of any ambiguity / dispute, arising on account of interpretation in version other than English, English version will prevail.
13. NHPC reserves the right to cancel/modify/restrict/enlarge/alter recruitment process, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.
14. NHPC reserves the right to increase / decrease the vacancies as per requirement.
15 .Any canvassing, directly or indirectly, by the applicant will disqualify his/her candidature.

RESERVATIONS AND RELAXATIONS:

01. Reservation for SC / ST / OBC (non creamy layer) / Persons with Disability (PwD) (degree of disability 40% or above) will be as per the Govt. Norms & Directives.
02. No registration fee will be charged from SC / ST / PwD category candidates.
03. SC, ST and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates with 50% marks in qualifying examination are eligible to apply.
04. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC (Non- creamy layer). It is relaxable by 10 years for PwD- General, 13 years for PwD –OBC and 15 years for PwD -SC/ST candidates.
05. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
06. SC/ST candidates appearing for written test shall be reimbursed single to & fro 2nd class rail /ordinary bus fare by the shortest route limited to the nearest examination centre from the mailing address mentioned in their application form on production of proof.

Candidate should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign. The filling of online application contains two parts:

Part I Registration
Part II Registration

In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.
Candidate may press “I agree” button after declaration once he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.
When “I agree” button is pressed, a page with Registration No. will be generated. Please note down registration number or take a print out of the page. The application is incomplete without part II registration. Part II registration contains filing procedure of payment details, uploading of photograph, and scanned signature.
Candidates who can pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank challan.
To pay fee in cash, candidate should take printout of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continue with Part II registration.
Those who want to pay online through net banking can go directly to part II registration after completion of part I. Candidate will have to supply registration number and date of birth to continue to Part II registration.
Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip steps 4 to 6.
Then upload a recently taken scanned photograph in 8 – bit grayscale JPG format. The digital size of the file must be of resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
Then upload your scanned signature in 8 – bit grayscale JPG format. The digital size of the file must be of resolution 140 pixel widths by 60 pixels height.
An email will be sent to your email id informing you that the application has been successfully registered. Registration No, email confirming registration and proof of payment of application fee should be retained by you.
Regional offices of the commission have been advised to place details of application numbers, Roll numbers and ticket number of candidates at least one week before the date of the examination. They will also provide the facility of downloading of Admission Certificate (Hall Ticket) from their website. If you do not receive the Admission Certificate within a month of the Examination and are unable to download the Admission Certificate from the Regional website concerned, you must contact the Regional office concerned.
Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Staff Selection Commission will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form.

Infosys Recruitment Process For JKC 2011 Pass Outs

Infosys Recruitment Events for the JKC 2011 pass out students are to be scheduled from second week of March 2011, the final schedules would be announced soon.As there are few last minute changes in the recruitment plan the original plan to start the events in the month of February is delayed.

In the meanwhile it is observed that many candidates are on the verge of losing the opportunity in spite of having the required eligibility criteria as they have not updated their profiles with their respective JKC accounts. There are so many colleges where we have 5 or less than 5 eligible students for the Infosys recruitment events.

Eligibility Criteria considered:

* B. Tech all disciplines and MCA
* For B Techs: 60% in class 10th, 60% in Intermediate / Diploma and 70% in B. Tech

a) The educational qualification prescribed for the post is the minimum. Candidates must possess the educational qualifications as on 01.01.2011 (inclusive).



b) Candidates must specifically indicate the percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant field of the online application. Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage.

c) Candidates who are awaiting their results of the qualifying examination OR who have not passed the qualifying examination on or before 01.01.2011 are not eligible.  In other words, the result of the qualifying examination should have been announced by the Board/University on or before 01.01.2011.
