ESSO Walk Ins for Project Scientists 2012

Earth System Sciences Organisation (ESSO) is conducting walk in interviews for the posts of project assistants in various categories on contract basis. Selected candidates will have to work for the project 'Hydrothermal Studies' to be implemented by the Ministry of Earth Sciences through the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR), Goa. ESSO is functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. There are 9 posts in total. The initial contract will be for one year. Walk Ins will be held at at MoES on Tuesday, the 17th January 2012 from 10 AM onwards. Following are details of vacancies, eligibility and other requirements:

1) Project Scientist – D: 2 posts. Salary is Rs. 40000 per month. Essential Qualifications: Applicants should have Masters degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Chemistry or Marine Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with at least 60 percent marks at PG level. They should have minimum seven years of academic or R and D experience after attaining post-graduation degree.

2) Project Scientist – C: 4 posts. Salary is Rs. 38000 per month. Essential qualifications: Candidates should have Masters degree in any one of these subjects : Oceanography, Marine Sciences, Marine Geology, Chemistry, Marine Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Geophysics and Marine Geophysics with minimum 60 percent marks. Applicants should have at least three years of academic or research experience.

3) Project Scientist – B: 3 posts. Salary is Rs. 36000 per month. Essential qualifications: Applicants should have Masters degree in any one of these subjects: Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics, Marine Geophysics with minimum first class marks. Candidates with relevant experience will be preferred.

Candidates can appear for Walk In Interviews to be conducted at Ministry of Earth Sciences, Meghdoot Hall, Prithvi Bhavan, IMD Campus, Opp. India Habitat Centre Gate No. 2, Lodi Road, New Delhi – 110 003 on 17th January 2012. Registrations will be done between 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. All the candidates should bring the original documents related to educational qualifications, date of birth, work experience, caste etc along with a set of attested copies of all the documents. A recent Bio-data and one self attested recent passport size photograph pasted on the biodata should be submitted at the time of registration.
