Love conquers desi netizens on Google

Here's some news that will certainly be a pebble in the shoe of the Sri Ram Sene who've famously had objections over Indians marking February 14 as Valentine's Day.According to latest reports released by search engine giant Google, India now ranks seventh on the list of countries searching for the word 'Valentine's Day' or related information. In 2010, India hadn't even featured in the top 10 list of countries looking up V-Day material.

United States, Philippines, Australia, Ireland, Canada and the United Kingdom are the countries that rank above India in terms of searches for V-Day information.

In this week that runs up the big day for lovers, Google's search trends also showed that 'Chocolate Day' (celebrated on Feb 9) and 'Kiss Day' were searched for more than 'Rose Day', 'Propose Day', 'Hug Day', 'Teddy Day' and 'Promise Day'. Top keywords searched for include ideas, gifts, quotes, flowers and SMSes.
