National Geographic Channel now in Telugu, Nag Chaitanya as NGC Telugu brand ambassador

Good news to Telugu Medium students and Telugu only people...
In an attempt to expand their viewership base in the Andhra pradesh State, National Geographic Channel (NGC) launched its Telugu channel on 11 August. The channel, which is currently available in English and Hindi will also be accessible to Telugu viewers through their respective cable operators. NGC want to reach out to a wider Indian audience through programmes such as ‘Jailed Abroad', ‘Air crash investigations' and NGC specials such as ‘Strange days on Planet Earth, said Keerthan Adyanthaya, Managing Director, National Geographic Network and Fox International Channels.
NGC has also roped in young Tollywood actor, Nag Chaitanya as its brand ambassador for the Telugu Channel. “I'm glad to be their brand ambassador. As a child I used to flip through National Geographic magazines as it always has something interesting to offer and I'm sure that the new Telugu channel will attract more viewers, said Mr. Chaitanya. Apart from airing dubbed content, the channel is also planning to come up with new documentaries. “NGC planning to make a few documentaries about Andhra Pradesh, of which one of them is based on Marco Polo's visit.
