Every year Friendship day is celebrated on 1st August 2010.
Since 1935 The United States congress declared the first Sunday of August as National Friendship day. People send gifts and "Friendship bands" to their friends.

Friendship with oneself is all important, because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.
