Mathematics was more student-friendly in the AIEEE, which was conducted on 25th April. AIEEE question papers had differential marking pattern for the first time, which confused students for sometime. Earlier all the questions carried uniform marks and students answered them in order. But this year, the questions carried differential marks. AIEEE exam was a 3 hour paper with 90 questions in total for 432 marks with 30 questions in each of the subjects. Each subject had 24 questions of 4 marks and 6 questions of 8 marks. There were four choices for all the questions. Students qualifying the test will be eligible for admission to 20 NITs, five IIITs, 20 deemed universities and 10 state and central government-funded and other prestigious institutes.
