EAMCET 2010 engineering applications, Huge response from students

Last date of sale of EAMCET applications without late fee is April 3...

The news of disappearing shadows of recession give boost to the sale of EAMCET engineering applications this year. Out of the 1.7 lakh applications sold so far, 1.5 lakh are of the engineering course and the remaining 20,000 are of the medical stream. The last date of sale of EAMCET applications without late fee is April 3 and officials expect engineering applicants to cross 3 lakh this year. Response for medical stream is likely to be low this year also.
For the EAMCET 2007 exam 97,979 medical applications were sold followed by 79,677 in 2008 and 65,800 in 2009. In engineering 1,91,224 sold in 2007, followed by 2,70,410 in 2008 and 3,12,648 in 2009.
  • Easy availability of engineering seats drew more students towards the course.
  • Fee reimbursement scheme for all the candidates whose parents' income was less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum. Nearly 80% of the admitted candidates benefited from it.
  • Growth of engineering colleges in small towns too helped drew more students towards engineering.
