If all Entrance exams at graduate level in Online will save more then half million trees(approx) in India...
The online admission process of the IIMs', may have brought along its share of technical problems but has scored high in terms of going green.
Taking the admission process online in has saved 50 tonnes of paper, to produce which about 1,000 trees would have to be felled. This is the first time CAT test of this magnitude has been paperless. Printing prospectus, application forms and other bulletins requires 25 tonnes of paper, admit cards, examination booklets and score cards account for a similar amount. But with online forms, question papers and score cards, the process did not require paper except for vouchers that the applicants bought from banks. All exams in online is not possible. But Entrance Exams in more then graduate level is possible in all over universities.
More then 213 UGC recognized Universities and more then 130 Deemed Universities in India wasting paper every year on printing prospectus, application forms and other bulletins, admit cards, examination booklets and score cards. DO you agree with me? what's your comment?
